About Burnt Hills Music





Burnt Hills Music was started in 1991 by it's 
present owner, Rick Werblow. A graduate of 
Syracuse University ( BA: Music), Rick performed in 
thousands of venues on the east coast. 
In 1988 returning from Georgia, Rick began teaching 
in a local music chain, seeing 65 students a week on 
guitar, piano, bass, and harmonica. When that chain folded 
in mid - 1991, Rick "gambled everything" and started 
Burnt Hills Music.


Today Burnt Hills Music has ten teachers on staff
 giving 250 students individualized lesson programs in
 Fretted Instruments (guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin),
 Brass winds (trumpet, trombone, F. horn, tuba),
 Woodwinds (saxophones, clarinets), Piano and 
Drums. A total of 18 different instrument programs 
are available.

 

  Additionally Burnt Hills Music has grown into more
 than just a teaching academy; it is now a full-line music
 store, selling all of the above instruments, with all 

supporting accessories. Full School Band rent-to-own
programs, including school breaks for all local school
districts is available. 

 


We have full repair facilities, as well, from basic set-ups to complete overhauls of most instruments. One of the most exciting developments is our own "WINDSONG" guitar line, produced in ourfactory in Korea. Formally producing guitars for the most respected names in the guitar industry,now our customers can buy direct from us, eliminating the middle man.
